Product Description
This download for the Post Office 1873 Directory contains 1340 pages, 316 of these are an interesting array of adverts for many types of businesses. Trade directories have always been an excellent source for tracing businesses and professions, however from the mid-nineteenth century a seporate Court section was included which lists private residential addresses. At this time it was very selective and only included the "top 10,000 citizens" for the area. The directory also includes details of the Members of Parliament and House of Lords as well as the Trades and Professions directory (Alphabetically listed).
